Our Management Team
Tony El-Nemr is President and Founder of Nouria Energy. Tony has more than 20 years of experience as a trend setting entrepreneur in the energy business. He began his career as a service station attendant in 1987 before starting his first Shell station two years later. From those inauspicious beginnings, Tony's company has become the largest Shell direct retailing operation in the Northeast with 45 locations in two states. Tony pioneered the franchise convenience store concept, branded car wash offerings, and the operation of a regional buying club to ensure effective cost management. He attended Northeastern University where he studied Mechanical Engineering.
John Koch is Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining the company, he had a distinguished 18-year career with Shell Oil Company in a variety of field and head office jobs and all Classes of Trade. As Shell's New England Sales Manager, John led such major initiatives as the formation of a $22 million LLC and the divestiture of $7.5 million in Shell assets. While at Shell headquarters in Houston, he developed a $10 million web platform for internal Shell transactions and a $12 million operations control center. John holds a BA in Marketing and an MBA in Marketing and Finance.
Richard Fusco is Nouria Energy's Chief Financial Officer. Richard's extensive financial management experience includes 25 years as a key senior manager in finance organizations of companies in a wide range of industries including retail, consulting, technology and accounting. He was the Assistant Controller of a large department store chain, Controller with a large online retailer, a specialist in closely held and private corporations at KPMG, and a Controller, VP of Finance and CFO for several technology start-ups. Richard holds a BSBA degree in Accounting from UMASS Amherst.
Tom Healey, P.E., is Director of Technical Services, managing the construction, maintenance, environmental, health and safety components of the business. With nearly 20 years of industry experience, Tom has been an engineer for Exxon and Shell, a Construction Manager for a well-respected general contractor and a Project Manager for a regional engineering firm. He has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts. Tom is a MA Licensed Construction Supervisor and a Registered Professional Engineer in CT and MA.
Jim Francoeur, Director of Retail, has three decades of retail experience with 25 years in the convenience store industry, including twelve years with Cumberland Farms as Divisional Manager, six years with Circle K as Marketing Manager for New England, Ohio and Kentucky, and six years with Store 24 as Director of Operations for 82 New England locations. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Jim is currently the Chairman for the for the Education Committee for the NECSA (New England Convenience Store Association).
Rogert Ebert is a member of the Nouria Energy Board of Advisors. Roger started his career with Texaco in 1972 and held senior positions in many global divisions including Vice President of Marketing and Manufacturing for Texaco in the U.K., Regional Director-Manufacturing and Marketing for Texaco’s Caribbean and Central America Division and General Manager of Texaco’s Latin America/West Africa Division. Before his retirement in 2001, Roger was President & CEO of Motiva Enterprises/Shell Oil.
Lee Fry is Nouria Energy’s Executive Advisor and a member of the Board of Advisors. A graduate of Loyola with a degree in Marketing, Lee held a number of high level positions during an amazing 35-year career with Shell Oil Company. Those positions included Sales Manager, Franchise Manager, District Manager and, most recently, General Manager of the Northeast Region, where he was responsible for the operation of over 1,000 service stations, sales of 100 million gallons of gasoline and $120 million in revenue per month.
